Custard to the eggs super easy (the Cookeo)
Since a few weeks I am the happy owner of a Cookeo and I have to admit it to me simplifies life when I lack time, and all without having to make a crisis of jealousy with her neighbor on the work plan and Companion.
The cookeo is a multicuiseur intelligent : it knows how to make full recipes almost alone as a great (just follow the steps and do what he asks of us), he knows how to steam cook any ingredient (or almost), he knows how to bring it to a simmer, cook under pressure, etc, he knows how to program cooking times and start it later (when it is busy doing something else) and after it keeps very warm. And if ever there was prepared a dish the day before, he also knows the warm up just as it should be for us. In short, it is smart and it helps well.
The other night, while I trainais on the group on Facebook where members all share their recipes, I came across a recipe for custard with the eggs that seemed to be JUST PERFECT. After some research, I found the recipe that I am eager to test. I do not remember, unfortunately, not of the author of the recipe, but if someone recognizes her creation, just leave me a comment and I’ll put the necessary details in this post.
For a nice custard, you need :
- 1 box of sweetened condensed milk (about 400 g)
- The same box full of semi-skimmed milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp heaped of Cornflour
- Liquid Caramel
Mix the condensed milk, semi-skimmed milk, the eggs and the Cornflour.
Pour 400 ml water into the bowl of the Cookeo and place the steam tray, pour the liquid caramel into the bottom of a mould with charlotte (round metal) or a non-stick saucepan with removable handle and have the mold or the pot in the steam tray (make sure in advance that the mold or the pot have fit well in the basket).
Pour the preparation into the mould used and set the mode to “Manual”, “cooking under pressure” for 15 minutes. Close to the Cookeo and start cooking immediately.
Once cooking is finished, let the custard rest 5 minutes, then unmold in a serving dish and let stand in a cool place for about 1 hour.
Of course, you should be able to make this recipe without the Cookeo with cooking in the oven in a bain-marie or surely in the basket and steam in a pressure cooker.
