Fried chicken way “Soooo good !” in our own way

In my library culinary, there are plenty of cookery books for children and among them there is one that we love : “The Recipes fun and tasty daddy” written by Benjamin Buhot that you surely know under the nickname Till the Cat, the blog of the same name. When it was proposed to me (there is already a long time) to send me her cookbook, I gladly accepted, I doubt that his reading was going to be funny. And I was not disappointed.
The book is exactly as I imagined and the dedication that he has had the kindness to write summarizes of all “2 or 3 tablespoons of valves, a few grams of word games well crappy, I hope the recipe you’ll like ! Friendships, Benjamin.” It is all him and I love it (special mention to the preface of Laurence Boccolini … there’s only him to do this !!).

In short, I love this book for what it is, but also because the children often take in the library to draw ideas from recipes. And I’m the mom can’t approve of anything that encourages children to let it hang out on Facebook waiting to get their feet under the table. (#MereIndigne).

Among the recipes in the book that they worship is the “chicken soooo good”. It must be said that the fast-food outlet that offers this chicken has opened not too far away and they often require that I take them but due to lack of time I suggest you often take what you need in the cupboards and the fridge and prepare the chicken themselves. For this recipe, at home we often merely breadcrumbs, while Benjamin uses corn-flakes unsweetened to get the real recipe of chicken is sooo good. And then yesterday noon, no bread crumbs, no stale bread to make it and not corn flakes natures. So I had to improvise and it was two birds with one stone : the chicken for lunch, and the recycling of a product that they did not like (tacos) to make the famous bread crumbs.

I had in effect purchased a 2-pack of tacos a day where they me have called after seeing one of their heroes in a tv series gets to eat tacos and find it super good. It was therefore prepared for an evening of tacos, but they were confused by this shell of corn a little rigid and galley to eat finally. In short, the tacos are on the list of products to never buy and I always had this plate in which I didn’t know what to do … until yesterday.

For a bucket of chicken is sooooo good at eating with one’s fingers in front of the tv after a 17 km race on foot while it was -6°C outside, it must :

  • 4 beautiful fillets of chicken
  • 250 g of corn-flakes unsweetened (or breadcrumbs or tacos)
  • milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g of flour
  • the juice of half a lemon
  • 4 CS + 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 CC of ginger powder
  • 1 tsp of oregano powder
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • Salt, pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • (one or two children to prepare everything for it)

Put the tacos in a bag for freezing, put a roller on pastry in the hands of a child and ask him to just smash.

Cut the chicken into pieces (not too small but not too big either, or use strips of chicken already cut)). Pour the milk into a bowl with the CC of paprika, gignembre, oregano, onion and garlic, salt and pepper and temper the chicken. film and let stand to cool at least 1 hour.
Beat the eggs in a bowl and set aside.
In another soup plate or a deep dish, put the flour and the CS paprika, onion, garlic, and salt and mix everything.
Once the taco crumb, arrange them in a 3rd bowl, or a dish of those.

Preparing the chicken is sooo good : get out a piece of chicken from its marinade, roll in flour, put it into the egg and give it to a child (the same as before or another) to the coats of taco crumbs.

The book on a small plate and do the same with all the others.

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or a deep fryer and immerse the pieces for 3 to 4 minutes, until they are golden brown. The rid on the paper absobant as before serving to small (large and hungry). As suggested by Till the Cat (aka Benjamin) you can serve them with a salad to feel good about ourselves. Personally, I find that it is processing to eat the salad with your fingers in front of the tv while it is -6° outside etc which I prefer to serve them with chips or potatoes home.
