Ganola house, all golden, all crispy and very easy

At home, it is the war with the children for breakfast. It must be said that I do not give the example, it is impossible for me to swallow something other than coffee when I get up. After having tested several kinds of cereals all make, I have decided to resume an old habit : prepare the homemade granola with this that everyone loves.

It was not specifically directed at children who don’t like hazelnuts whole, but rather for the Mister and me.

The recipe is not of me but of my old friend Jamie Oliver, published in his book “everyone can cook”.

To fill a large glass jar (which unfortunately is not going to last very long), you need to :

– 200 g of oat flakes
– 150 g assorted nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, etc … I only had hazelnuts)
– 100 g of seeds varied (here, sunflower seeds, flax, sesame)
– 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
– 150 dried fruit (here, golden raisins and raisins and dried apples)
– 5 tbsp liquid honey (you can also use maple syrup)
– 5 tbsp olive oil (don’t panic, it is not parfume not)

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Mix the rolled oats, nuts, seeds and cinnamon on a plate or a large baking dish. Drizzle with honey (or maple syrup) and olive oil.

Mix all together and then firmly press down and bake for 15 to 20 minutes of cooking.
Attention : every 5 minutes, out the plate, mix all the ingredients using a wooden spoon and return to the oven.
Chop the dried fruit if they are too big. When the mixture is well browned, remove the plate from the oven, add the dried fruit, mix all together and let cool.

Verdict : easy, fast, and delicious. I wonder why I had stopped doing it !

The most difficult thing now is to be able to make it last. Gentleman has made his snacking favourite, but I managed to divert a little, hidden in a small pot. Tomorrow, it will be necessary to put a little milk in a small bottle, to catch a small spoon to take my breakfast quietly at about 10 o’clock from the offices of My Sweet Shop …
