Prescription. Skewers of sweet potato to the grill in style Yakitori.
See… when we say Yakitori, it has become a reality that we are talking about a skewer that will roast on the grill. So the chances of this are endless, because we can put on the plate whatever. Then, when we walked in the market we came across a sweet potato that looked amazing. And I have a few new bottles of sake at home, so we add 1 + 1 and proved this. On the menu today: sweet Potato grilled-style Yakitori.
For this sweet Potato to the grill we’re going to need
- 5 sweet potatoes, cut into slices of 2 cm. thick. Or in cubes. As they want
- 1/4 cup of sake
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1/4 cup of mirin
- 1 1/2 cdtas. grated ginger
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. of sesame oil.
- Sesame seeds toasted to garnish.
Ok. The first thing that I recommend is that you have a grill at home to use in this recipe. And in other also. If you do not have to come here and buy yours because it is an important tool in the kitchen. Already have it, caliéntenla and with a napkin engrásenla. I always use canola oil.
In a steamer put the slices of sweet potato and cocínenlas the steam for about 10 minutes. Let cool. While it’s cooking, combine the sake, mirin, soy sauce, honey, sugar and ginger in a pan small. Let boil and reduce heat to low voice for ten minutes. Out of the fire.
Place slices of sweet potatoes on the skewers. To paint with a brush the sweet potatoes with the sesame oil and then with the glaze. Put it on the hot grill. Re-varnish with glaze repeatedly, and cook on both sides until the potatoes are slightly charred. Serve on a plate and decorate with the sesame seeds.
