Recipe Horchata oatmeal with cinnamon and coconut milk

Here’s a recipe of water of horchata oatmeal with cinnamon and coconut milk is perfect to cool off in a healthy way. My friends from Oats Canada I shared the recipe and I made a small change because instead of sugar use stevia, which can also be replaced by brown sugar, the point is that there is refined sugar that is malísma for the health. Can give it to the children of the house who will love them.


  • 1.5 to 3 litres of water
  • 150 grams rolled oats or 1 ½ cups
  • 1 can of coconut milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Stevia or brown sugar to sweeten


In a bowl, cover the oatmeal with water, leave to soak for a few hours or all night. The next day strain out the oats and blend for two minutes with the milk, sugar or stevia, and cinnamon.


Pour half of the mixture into a jug and add half liter of water. Adjust the sweetness level if needed, or add more oats if you want a more intense flavor.


Repeat with the second part of the mix.


Cooled before serving or add ice cubes and be sure to stir to take advantage of what sits in the background.
