Recipe Ribs in Pipian Rojo

This is one of those recipes that you remember the days of Sunday when I went to grandma’s house and I knew that the banquet would include any of their wonderful dishes that filled us with the soul of love and the stomach of satisfaction. Time has of it and now, when I go the nostalgia I seek to replicate the recipes of my grandmother for my family. Here a simple version and very quick to make the Ribs of pork in pipian rojo, desiring to enjoy them as much as us.


  • 1kg of pork ribs
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup of sesame seeds
  • Canola oil
  • 1 pot of Pipián rojo ready to serve Doña Maria
  • Chiles chipotle chillies dry
  • Salt to taste

In a saucepan deep or in a pot express, put to cook the meat with half an onion, three cloves of garlic and salt.

Meanwhile, in a frying pan put toast the sesame seeds stirring constantly to prevent burning, remove and reserve.

In the same frying pan with two tablespoons of oil fry the meat already cooked to be well browned the ribs.

With a little of the same broth licúen chiles chipotle chillies which can be softened beforehand with a little hot water and if you don’t want to bite, remove the veins and seeds. Add this mixture along with the pipian rojo ready to serve Doña Maria to the ribs in the pan and allow them to season everything very well and integrate the pipian to the ribs.

Serve the ribs and espolvoreen the sesame seeds over them and accompany with white rice, beans of the pot, and corn tortillas.
