Rice with milk

Recipe Rice with milk

This is one of the most traditional recipes of the mexican cuisine and to the grandmothers they love or loved to prepare. Here’s the version of the recipe rice with milk grandma Isabel Pineda, which is very similar to that of my mom who also is extraordinary.

  • 1 liter of water

  • 1 tin of condensed milk la lechera

Put a large pot with the water and the half cup of sugar and the pinch of salt to a boil, add the rice, washed and drained, let it boil and cook the rice without drying out, then you add the whole milk, milk, carnation and condensed milk, the lemon rind, cinnamon sticks, dash of vanilla and let it boil on a slow fire to be consumed little by little until you have the desired consistency.

Already ready, empty into a bowl and sprinkle with the cinnamon powder.
