Special end of Ramadan : harcha (wafer to fine semolina)
The month of Ramadan comes to an end, and this year I cooked few things the “typical” opting in week for of dishes quickly prepared. Also when the weekend arrives, I try to give pleasure to Mr. in making the dishes that he loves, the dishes of his childhood. Sunday so I have prepared small pancakes made with fine semolina, known as “Harcha” and this is the recipe that I propose for the game special Ramadan launched by Miss Fussoir.
There are lots of recipes for these cakes, more or less sweet, more or less golden, more At we, they would rather savory and sweet, of crunchy on top and soft inside.
For 6 harcha :
– 250 g of fine semolina
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 tsp of baking powder
– 1 tablespoon of sugar
– 150 g of melted butter
– 75 ml milk
Mix the semolina, the salt, the yeast, the sugar and add the melted butter. Mix well.
add the milk, mix again and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes so that the semolina absorbs the milk. Mix again, the dough should be pliable, if not add more semolina until a dough that you can manipulate easily.
Put a pan to heat up. Separate the dough into 6 equal pieces. When the pan is hot, make patties with the first pieces, sprinkle fine semolina on each side and place gently in the frying pan. Let it cook for 5 minutes over low heat then gently turn and cook on the other side before to get rid and keep warm. Do the same with the other pieces.
Serve with what you love : butter (1/2 salt or not), jam, etc
